October 2009 - Green Jobs: linking envrinment, climate change and the world of work
Training for ILO constituents
After the successful roll-out of the green jobs training programme, held in Turin early February and mid-June, another training event has been scheduled. This course will take place from October 19 to 23, and targets a wide range of social actors interested in the green jobs initiative. Participants will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to get actively involved in, and influence national policy on the employment and social aspects of a changing climate and environment.

October 2009 - Introduction to Green Jobs and Green Growth in Asia and the Pacific
Workshop for ILO and UNESCAP staff
The training, organized in collaboration with the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific of the ILO and UNESCAP, focuses on the integration of green jobs and decent work concepts into the green growth programme. The use of Decent Work Country Programmes will be acknowledged as a tool for addressing green growth issues, such as greening market and business, sustainable infrastructure, etc. In final, technical staff will be trained in order to correctly brief constituents on the end of year Conference of the Parties in Copenhagen and its potential impact on the world of work.
